Mission Statement

Bo’neFly Racing “Street Legal Motorsports” is anti-street racing (illegal Street Racing) program. Our program supports Green Energy Emission Initiatives, Traffic flow impact concerns, Noise Abatement and Not in My Backyard (NIMBY) related issues.  We use race cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles as an educational tool to proactively garner awareness of safe racing alternatives.

Bo’neFly Racing Objectives and Mandate

  • Promote Traffic Safety and responsible Driving.
  • Strive to reduce street racing by providing heightened awareness and safe racing alternatives.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within our communities of racers, public officials and the police.

Community Policing Partnership

Bo’neFly Racing “Street Legal Motorsports” proposes a community policy partnership for an open support initiative to work in tandem with other Street Legal Projects to ensure a steadfast communication of positive, efficient and effective coordination. We will participate in engaging constructive debate forums throughout the country and speak to children, seniors, schools, racers, community leaders, developers, Law Enforcement Agencies and Public Officials.

We’ll gladly showcase our cars, motorcycles, vans and trucks in malls, schools, exhibition events and parades to promote, expose and deliver our positive Street Legal message. Admittedly, it’s rather challenging to measure the success of the program as it relates to the decline or incline of street racing. However, we most vigorously support the establishment of an unbiased community policing partnership to encourage racers and spectators to participate in sanctioned race events.

There are numerous reasons that contribute to street racing, which include and not limited to:

  • Fame
  • Fun
  • Thrill
  • Peer Pressure
  • Being Cool and Showing Off
  • Anger
  • Seeking Attention
  • Media Influence

Unfortunately, the consequences of side shows and street racing may include and not limited to:

  • Fines and Citation
  • Vehicle Impound
  • Arrest (Misdemeanor and/or felony)
  • Driver License Suspension
  • Restitution and/or Probation
  • Jail Sentencing
  • Permanent Arrest Record
  • Injury or Death to Self and/or Others

Crime Prevention

Bo’neFly Racing “Street Legal Motorsports” program was organized to share our passion for safe competitive racing, STEM education and the promotion of anti-street racing (illegal Street Racing).

Although there is no way to measure the success of the program as it relates to decline or incline of street racing, we encourage all drivers, racers and spectators to test their abilities at a safe sanctioned race track. We look forward to coordinating our Green Emission Initiatives efforts with the global citizenry in support of traffic flow impact, Noise Abatement and NIMBY related issues.

Our goal is to promote approximately 22 “Street Legal Motorsports” events per year, averaging 175 participants and 1500 spectators. Motorsports awareness is a fun and effective means to reach out and interact with the public in a social and positive setting. We promote education and raise awareness to dangers associated with alcohol and drug abuse, gang violence, and driving.

Education

Our program specifically targets STEM education, community events and traffic safety as we highlight our Street Legal race theme of “anti-street racing”. Bo’neFly Racing “Street Legal Motorsports” promotes competitive racing in a safe and responsible manner. Summarily, we use motorsport events as an effective measurement tool in our communities, schools, and race tracks.

On 19 October 2017, the California Highway Patrol received a federal traffic safety grant titled Regulate Aggressive Driving and Reduce Speed II (RADARS II); with the funding the CHP will educate motorists about the dangers of aggressive driving and actively enforce aggressive driving laws. The primary goal of the grant is to see a five percent reduction in the number of fatal and injury traffic collisions caused by speed, improper turning, and driving on the wrong side of the road. The project will also focus on street racing and sideshows.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Press release 17-35.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Speed and aggressive driving, the main causes of traffic collisions in California, will be the focus of a year-long education and enforcement campaign by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) that started October 1, 2017.

“Dangerous behavior while driving is no accident,” CHP Acting Commissioner Warren Stanley said. “RADARS II will help the CHP enhance its efforts to change these behaviors through enhanced enforcement and an active public awareness campaign.”

“Speed is the number one cause of traffic collisions in California, and speed combined with aggressive driving contributes to the vast majority of serious collisions in California. In federal fiscal year 2014-2015, speed was a factor in approximately 43 percent of all fatal and injury collisions in the state. That year, more than 29,644 speed-related collisions resulted in almost 290 deaths and injury to more than 43,464 people.”

Most notably, the Los Angeles Sheriff Department (LASD Motorsports) is one of the largest law enforcement endorsed racing and public outreach programs in the United States and is exclusively operated by Deputy Sheriff’s of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
